Lóránt ANTAL
Lóránt ANTAL is a senator in the Romanian Parliament, chairman of the Committee for Energy, Energy Infrastructure and Mineral Resources, member of the Committee for Economy, Industry and Services, as well as member of the Economic Council of the RMDSZ, a forum for the preparation of draft legislation or economic and governmental documents and programs.
He is the founder of several companies specialized in renewable energy development, consulting and financing, as well as in the management of regional development programs. He has made important contributions to development projects in the field of industrial parks and pioneering projects on renewable energy production for local public authorities to make electricity consumption more efficient in street lighting and public buildings.
He studied at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy and the Dimitrie Cantemir Faculty of Economics. After graduating, he became involved in strengthening youth work in the Odorhei area, and later at the national level, becoming president of TUDMR, the largest Hungarian youth council in Romania.
In 2014 he ran for the European Parliament and in 2018 he became a senator for Harghita County, being re-elected in 2020 and 2024.
