SPONSOR RESS - Renewable Energy School of Skill
RESS - Renewable Energy School of Skills is the largest vocational training centre for renewable energy in South East Europe, with students of over 20 nationalities from most European countries.
The training centre started 10 years ago with GWO courses for the wind industry in Romania and Europe and 3 years ago it started teaching more courses for those who deal with the installation and maintenance of photovoltaic parks. The training centre has 2 main locations in Constanta and Petrosani and 3 secondary locations in Bucharest at the Polytechnic University, Arad at the largest PV park in Europe with an approved capacity of 1044MW and a temporary centre in Galati.
Starting in 2021, RESS is coordinating the RENEWACAD project, a retraining programme for employees in areas affected by the energy transition, including miners. Through this project, the qualification of more than 800 employees in installation of photovoltaic panels and maintenance of wind and photovoltaic parks has been successfully completed, visits to wind and photovoltaic parks have been organized together with RWEA - Romanian Wind Energy Association and RPIA - Photovoltaic Industry Association of Romania and various events have been organized to promote vocational training courses adapted to the renewable industry in Romania.
